Are you a English Teacher looking for a new opportunity? Here at The Education Specialists (TES) we are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school based in the Heywood area for a English Teacher in an enthusiastic department. The recruited English Teacher will be working in a “Good” Ofsted rating school and has a welcoming and communal ethos. The school are seeking somebody who is an passionate to join their English department. The English Teacher will be covering a maternity contract, therefore you will be expected to complete all aspect of the role including planning, marking and assessing.

We are seeking a qualified English Teacher who has experience delivering and assessing all aspects of Key Stage 3 & 4. The school are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join their department and hit the ground running. You will be allocated PPA time throughout your week to accommodate to this.

This role would be a great step for a NQT or a Teacher who is keen to source a role in an established department and to work part of a successful team. The school has high aim for their pupils and wants a teacher who is passionate about increasing pupil attainment.

Candidate will be required to work in partnership with TA’s and other members of the department to contribute to the overall success of the pupils

Candidates will be responsible for;

  • Planning and delivering of engaging lessons
  • Assessment of pupils
  • Report writing
  • Direction of teaching assistants/learning support
  • Attendance at parents evening and other meeting as required
  • Classroom/Behaviour management in line with school policies and procedures

Candidates must hold Qualified Teacher Status/ QTLS or equivalent and have experience teaching in UK secondary schools.

The school will consider and urge for applications from Newly Qualified Teachers.

Candidates must be able to fully commit to the full time role which commences September 2022. The contract will be for a minimum of two term therefore candidates must be available up to March 2023.

Candidates will be required to hold an enhanced DBS disclosure and will be subject to safeguarding checks.
