The Education Specialist

The Education Specialists (TES) are committed to promoting social inclusion for all students. Due to an increase in demand, we are recruiting for 1:1 Tutors to support students and young people who face challenges in accessing mainstream education.

We need Secondary Maths, English and Science teachers to support children within Liverpool, Runcorn and Wirral areas. This role is flexible but would ideally suit someone looking to work between 10 to 30 hours a week.

Ideally the right candidate would have experience of working with children who are disengaged with education. The children we are supporting are young people (LAC) who have special educational needs and who are living in challenging circumstances.

What The Educational Specialists need from you:

  • Suitably qualified (PGCE or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication skills to work with families, schools and other professionals.
  • Engaging lessons which will support a student to move back into mainstream education.
  • Be prepared to work in the student’s home, library or local community centre.
  • A working knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Resilience and a sense of humour
  • Team Teach Trained – Or be willing to obtain this training (through ourselves)
