The Education Specialists (TES) are recruiting on behalf of an Outstanding Ofsted rated Secondary School based in Oldhan. The school is a faith high school with high expectations of both its staff and pupils.

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant who can support students in the schools reflection provision. The students access the provision when they are struggling in a whole class environment and need extra support to complete learning tasks. The provision also helps support pupils make positive behaviour choices. The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for providing feedback to teachers and other school staff. Individual must be proactive and be a good role model for all pupils.

We are seeking an individual who want the opportunity to progress in this field and is dedicated to committing on a long-term basis. Experience of working with pupils in small groups and on a one to one basis is essential.

To be considered for the position you must have the following:

  • Experience supporting young people with learning difficulties
  • Comfortable working with pupils on a 1:1 basis, providing motivation and support to engage with sessions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students.
  • Have experience working in a similar environment
  • A valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
  • Be willing to undertake Team Teach Training and other training as necessary for the role.

Salary ranges from £16,000 – £18,500
