The Education Specialist

The Educations Specialist are acting as a recruitment business, recruiting on behalf of a of a primary school based in the Liverpool area. The school provides education for pupils aged 5 – 11, the school is a forward-thinking environment providing new learning and social skills for all pupils.

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work alongside pupils within their key stage 1 & 2 sector, role is working 1:1 with a male pupil with behavioural, social and emotional issues. The candidate selected will be expected to work alongside the pupils EHC plans and implementing the pupil’s memory intervention plan. This role would suit an individual who wants to make a difference to the lives of young people and understands the importance of creating a safe, nurturing environment for pupils.

Duties of this role will include;

  • Supporting the individual to complete set tasks within the classroom and on a 1:1 basis.
  • Promoting independence within the school environment.
  • Implementing and maintaining behaviour strategies.
  • Supporting pupils to achieve their individual education targets
  • Working in partnership with teachers and other TA’s to provide a stable, positive environment for learning.
  • Supervising community activities with the pupils.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.20am and 3.30pm

Total working hours in the school will be 37.5

Successful candidates will be required to hold, or apply for, an enhanced DBS and be subject to safeguarding and vetting checks.
