The Education Specialist

The Education Specialists (TES) are recruiting on behalf of a Primary School based in the Knowsley area. The school has an excellent reputation within the local authority and is Ofsted rated GOOD.

The school is undergoing multiple changes and are looking for an enthusiastic Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team and hit the ground running.

You will be a supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis who has ASD and learning difficulties. The pupil can be disengaging in lessons and will need support with tasks. You will need to be able to use your own initiative.

The school has high expectations of both its staff and pupils and manages pupils’ behaviour with exceptional skill and great sensitivity. This leads to a happy productive working environment for all. The school are seeking an individual who can embrace this way of working.

The successful applicant will start ASAP – Christmas (potentially longer)

This role will include various tasks such as:

  • Promoting independence within the school environment.
  • Leading small groups under direction of the teacher.
  • Implementing behaviour strategies.
  • Working in partnership with teachers and other TA’s to provide a stable, positive environment for learning.
  • Supervising activities with the pupils.
  • The working hours are Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am – 3.30pm.

All individuals working on behalf of TES are required to hold an enhanced DBS and will be subject to safeguarding/vetting checks.
