The Education Specialists are acting as a recruitment business, recruiting on behalf of a Primary School based in the Oldham Local Authority. The school has been rated as “Good” by Ofsted and is a forward-thinking innovative school based in the heart of the community.

We are looking for a Year 5 Class Teacher for a long-term role to cover Maternity Leave

Suitable applicants must be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Be an outstanding classroom practitioner and is willing to be flexible.
  • Have knowledge of effective strategies to raise attainment and progress.
  • Be creative and constantly looking for ways to engage and inspire children.
  • Can demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum for KS2.
  • Has good organisational and classroom management skills.
  • Has excellent communication skills.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering of engaging lessons.
  • Planning an effectively marking books.
  • Assessment of pupils.
  • Providing feedback to parents and building positive relationships with parents.
  • Direction of teaching assistants/learning support.
  • Classroom / Behaviour management in line with school policies and procedures.
  • Staff meetings.
  • Attending Parents evenings.

Details of the role:

  • Candidates must hold Qualified Teacher Status, and have experience teaching in UK primary schools and must be able to fully commit to the post.
  • Must hold an enhanced DBS disclosure.
  • This is a full time, long term role beginning in November to cover maternity leave.
  • Successful candidates will be subject to safeguarding and vetting checks.
