Day Rate: £95-£110 Per day (Dependent on experience)

Make a Real Difference to a Child’s Education
We are currently seeking a dedicated and nurturing 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Key Stage 1 at a welcoming primary school in Fazakerley.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning, develop their confidence and achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide consistent, individualised support throughout the school day.

About the Role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil throughout the school day.
  • Support the pupil with their learning, engagement and participation in classroom activities.
  • Help the child develop confidence, independence and positive relationships with their peers.
  • Provide support with emotional regulation and behaviour where appropriate.
  • Adapt activities and learning resources to meet the pupil’s individual needs.
  • Encourage positive participation in lessons and wider school activities.
  • Support the pupil during breaktimes, lunchtimes and transitions throughout the school day.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team to monitor progress and implement appropriate strategies.
  • Maintain a positive, patient and consistent approach at all times.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting.
  • Is passionate about supporting children with additional learning or behavioural needs.
  • Is patient, calm, nurturing and able to build strong relationships with pupils.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can encourage and motivate a child while promoting their independence.
  • Is confident working as part of a wider team.
  • Can demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to adapt their approach to meet the needs of the pupil.
  • Has a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Experience supporting children with SEND, emotional regulation, behavioural needs or additional learning needs would be desirable, although the school will consider candidates with the right attitude, experience and commitment.
